Join the Bitter Root Land Trust on the hilltop of the future Groff Family Park for a unique educational experience under the Bitterroot night sky!
Led by Jake Fischer with the University of Montana Planetarium, guests will learn amateur astronomy skills through the use of an 8 inch Cassegrain telescope. Techniques will be shared for learning the night sky through the use of laser pointers, like finding “pointer stars” and star hopping. Learn about constellations, how and when to find them and their scientific significance. Deep sky objects will be explored, including planetary nebulas, globular clusters and binary stars.
