PROJECT UPDATE – WATCH THE VIDEO
For a number of years, BRLT has been working with Marty Stomberg and her family to find a solution for her land and unofficial fishing access site at the mouth of the West Fork River in Conner, Montana.
And now, through a partnership with Montana Fish, Wildlife, & Parks, Ravalli County Fish and Wildlife Association, the Bitterroot community, and critical funding from the Ravalli County Open Lands Bond Program, Bitterroot Audubon, and Five Valleys Adubon, nearly 100 acres of forest and riverfront will soon be protected forever, and open to the public.
Future uses include:
camping
picnicking
horseback riding
and fishing access
Marty and her sister, Barb, have lead the way through this challenging process. Without their perseverance, this project wouldn’t have been possible. Hear the story of this family and the land in this short video.
